Preventive Maintenance and Cleaning of Air-Curtain

 

1.0         Purpose

 1.1       To lay down a procedure for the Preventive Maintenance and Cleaning of Air-Curtain.


2.0         Scope

2.1          This procedure is applicable for the Preventive Maintenance and Cleaning of Air-Curtain at  "NAME" Pharmaceuticals Ltd. 


3.0      Responsibility

3.1.       Only trained Technician / Operator is responsible for normal operation. He/ She inform the            supervisor about any deviation from normal operation. He also maintains log book.

3.2.       Head of Engineering and Maintenance shall be responsible for the implementation of this SOP.

3.3        Head of QA / designee shall be responsible for compliance of this SOP.

5.1        Vacuum Cleaner

5.2        Clean lint free Cloth


6.0      Precaution / Health and Safety Considerations

6.1        Ensure necessary safety wears, while doing the work.


7.0       Procedure

7.1       Preventive Maintenance

7.1.1     Ensure that the electrical supply is in off position in main panel and display “Under Maintenance” Board on the panel Board.

7.1.2     Switch “OFF” the drive unit.

7.1.3     The Technician / Operator has to ensure and verify the check points for the preventive maintenance         as shown in the Annexure-I.

7.1.4     After the completion of preventive maintenance, check the machine for smooth operation.

7.1.5     Remove “Under Maintenance” Board on the panel board after completion of the maintenance.

7.1.6     The Technician / Operator who perform the job will enter his name / sign in “Done by” column and  responsible Engineer / Officer will put sign in “Checked By” column.

7.2        Preventive Maintenance is carried out quarterly as per the following check points:

7.2.1     Check the operation of motor blower.

7.2.2     Check the bearing for lubrication, lubricate if required.

7.2.3     Check the condition of all screws. Tighten it, if found loose. Replaced it, if found damage.

7.2.4     Check the tightness of all the terminals in electrical device in machine.

7.2.5     Check the motor blower assembly for its alignment and abnormal noise.

 

7.3       Cleaning

7.3.1     Switch “OFF” the air-curtain unit. Ensure that the electrical supply is in off position in main panel. Once off, ensure the unit does not turn on during cleaning by locking the panel, as well.

7.3.2     Remove the air intake grille for access to the blower housing and motor (s).

7.3.3     Remove the bottom access panel on heated models for access to the blower housing and motor(s).

7.3.4     Vacuum and scrape (if necessary) to remove the built-op dirt and debris.(For instructions for         particular model)

11.0    Training
