1.0 Purpose
1.1 To provide standard guidelines for handling / executing the operating of ink jet date and coding machine.
2.0 Scope
2.1 This procedure is applicable for ink jet date and coding machine of production area at “NAME” Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1. Only concern operator is responsible for normal operation. He/ She inform the supervisor about any deviation from normal operation. He also maintains logbook.
3.2. Sr. Officer- Production/Officer- Production is responsible for monitoring day to day activity.
3.3 Production and Quality Assurance Officer shall ensure that the procedure is implemented properly.

Have to plan the work
carefully before starting the operation, keep the floor clean near machine.
6.2
During the maintenance,
Servicing and cleaning always press emergency stop.

Never try to clean while the
machine is in running.
7.0 Procedure
7.1 General instructions:
7.1.1 Clean the machine carefully.
7.1.2 The safety devices should not be removed in any operation case.
Before opening electrical control panel always ensure the main plug is disconnected.
7.1.3 Avoid insertion of hands in this area while drive of the machine is on.
7.1.4 During the machine setting operation operator is directly exposed to the display page.
7.1.5 Clean connection & fittings at beginning of machine running.
7.1.6 Check the protective facilities after every day production work set the Batch number & date as your production schedule.
7.1.7 Set the sensor to the machine. Ensures on of machine power switch & main power switch.
7.1.8 See display page & push start up
button. Edit message push for Batch number setting.
7.2 Safe equipment & other factors need to consider:
7.2.1 Equipment must be made safe before operating starts.
7.2.2 Set up position people at key points if they are needed to keep other people out of place.
7.2.3 Don’t just focus on the safety of Machine operating – Take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of others who may be affected by their work.
7.2.4 Print spec. push for the change of word height big & small.
7.2.5 Manual button push for printing position setting.
7.2.6 Print position change by sensor up down.
7.2.7 If the machine ready for work you on the
conveyor switch.
7.3 Other factors need to consider:
7.3.1 Clean the conveyor properly.
7.3.2 Set the sensor proper place of conveyor.
After setting conveyor & printer you start the production.
7.3.3 Shutdown button push after day work complete.
7.3.4 Wait 4 (four) minutes for the completion of full signal.
7.3.5 After complete the shut down full signal, Then you off the machine power switch.
7.3.6 Finally of the main power switch.
7.3.7 Set the programming panel before machine
run.
7.4 Procedure
of ink pot change:
7.4.1 Check the ink.
7.4.2 Clean the spray nozzle of printer head regularly
7.4.3 When you see the fault signal in ink picture it means ink pot empty, need to change it.
7.4.4 Write down ink pin code in display page. After set the ink pin code you push the bottom of ink pot & open the ink pot.
7.4.5 Set new ink fill pot by bottom side push, which pin code you set in display page.
7.4.6 After all setting have been done, put the machine in RUN mode.
7.4.7 As the machine takes speed, start feeding the paper.
7.4.8 For stopping the machine, first push the shutdown button and next off conveyor switch.
7.4.9 Finally
off the main switch after 10 minutes of shutdown button push
7.5 Cover the machine to protect the dust.
7.5.1 Clean the spray nozzle ink of printer head.
7.5.2 Clean the machine after operation.
7.5.3 Cover the printing head with sensor.
7.5.4 Cover the printing machine.
7.5.5 UPS is essential for machine running.
